Price my windows
Enter your own window sizes and see a price range for each one, built from published New Zealand rates. Every row shows the rate it used and where that rate came from.
1. Your home
2. Your windows
Measure the glass opening, not the curtain. Rough is fine; the measure is exact. Add a row per window, or set a quantity where several are the same size.

Questions about the calculator
Is this a quote?
No. It is an estimate built from published New Zealand rates, shown as a range per window. A quote is a fixed number for your house, and that comes after a measure, in writing.
How accurate is it?
It is as accurate as the published rates behind it, which vary by frame type, region and what the job includes. The rate used on every row is printed next to that row, so you can see exactly where the number came from.
Why is a small window not cheap?
Because most of the work is handling the sash, not the glass. Published per-window figures — $550–850 for an aluminium retrofit, $800–1,200 for timber (Wellington Glass) — act as a floor under the per-m² rate, and the calculator applies them.
Do I need exact measurements?
No. Measure the glass opening roughly, in millimetres, and add a row per window. The measure is where the exact sizes get taken, and the quote is based on those.
What is not in the estimate?
Frame, sill or sash repairs, refitting curtains and blinds, repainting, structural strengthening, and scaffolding unless you told us the house is two storeys or more. They are listed under the total.
Do you keep what I type?
Only if you ask us to email you the estimate. The calculation itself runs in your browser.
