Privacy policy
What we collect, why we collect it, where it goes, and how to get it back or have it deleted.
Who we are
NZ Double Glazing is a trading name of Kauri Ridge Holdings Limited, NZBN 9429050000017 operates nz-double-glazing.co.nz. Our address is Level 1, 12 Kōwhai Lane, Grey Lynn, Auckland 1021. Privacy questions go to hello@nz-double-glazing.co.nz. This policy is written under the Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
- When you use the calculator: nothing, unless you ask us to email you the estimate. The calculation runs in your browser.
- When you email yourself an estimate, join the waitlist, book a measure or contact us: your name, email address, and whatever you tell us — phone, suburb, region, window details, and any notes.
- When you pay: Stripe processes the payment. We receive the amount, the outcome and a reference. We never see or store your card number.
- Automatically, with every form submission: your IP address, browser user agent, the page you came from, and the approximate country, region and city your request came through. That is used to spot spam and to understand where enquiries come from.
- Analytics: anonymous usage events (pages viewed, whether an estimate was completed, the number of windows and the range), through PostHog. We do not attach your name or email to those events unless you have given them to us in a form.
Why we collect it
- To answer you, arrange a measure, and send you a quote.
- To take and refund payments.
- To decide which regions to contract a glazier in next.
- To improve the site and the calculator.
- To meet our legal and tax obligations.
Who we share it with
- The partner glazier who is doing your measure or your job, and only what they need: your name, address, contact details and the window details.
- Our service providers, listed below.
- Nobody else. We do not sell your details, and we do not pass them to other glazing companies unless you explicitly tick the referral option, which is off by default. No referral arrangement is currently in place, so today nothing is passed on that way.
Overseas providers
Some of the services we use store information outside New Zealand. Using this site means your information may be held overseas by them, subject to their own protections:
- Vercel — hosting and request logs (United States).
- Notion — where enquiries and orders are recorded (United States).
- Stripe — payment processing (United States and Ireland).
- Resend — sending our emails (United States).
- PostHog — anonymous product analytics (United States).
How long we keep it
Enquiries and waitlist entries: up to 24 months, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Job and payment records: 7 years, because tax law requires it. Analytics events: as long as our PostHog project retains them.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. Email hello@nz-double-glazing.co.nz and we will respond within 20 working days. You can also ask us to delete information we are not legally required to keep, and we will.
Cookies and similar
This site sets no advertising cookies and runs no advertising trackers. PostHog sets a cookie to count a visit as one visit rather than several. Blocking it does not stop the site working.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Payments run through Stripe's hosted checkout, so card details never touch our servers. Access to enquiry records is limited to people who need it to do the job.
Complaints
Tell us first and we will try to sort it. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
Changes
We update this policy when what we do changes. This version is dated 15 September 2026.
